We loved spending time with Alex and walking with him while he told us all about why he loves Hoia Baciu and what makes it so unique. His stories, adventures and experience were great, and his knowledge of mushrooms was a joy too! We'll be recommending his tour to anyone coming to Romania.

The guide was very knowledgable and informative about the bears, and answered all our questions. We were lucky to see up to thirteen bears during our july trip, of which three mother bears and six cubs.
We had a great time. The area where our guide took us was beautiful and we saw a few bears from a hill. They were down in the fields and pretty far away but it was still fun to observe them. Then we drove down and we were able to see one closer by. She stood up and we could see her head above the grass. We also saw some hares and buzzerds. This tour doesn't go to a hide so it feels more natural then all the other tours you can find.
