What a joy to have Florin as guide! So knowledgeable, fluent, and enthusiastic. I learned about every aspect of Romanian life, including traditions, folklore, history, and my special interest, architecture, as he is building his own house! I'm almost done with my two-week Romania trip and I must say this tour is one of my top three favorite memories here. The tour included a visit to the bat cave, where I was lucky to see some bats. Then it was a not-too-difficult 5-kilometer hike in Magura and Pestera Villages. I was amazed by the stunning scenery despite the cloudy sky and snow at times and how local people persevere in the face of challenges from mountain life. I wouldn't have known the stories behind them without going with a guide. My guide, Tiberiu, shared a lot of stories about the local people's way of life and when I asked him about the details I noticed along the way, he was able to answer them all. In fact, I had an enlightening time learning from his wealth of knowledge and life experience beyond what I saw in Magura and Pestera. I really appreciated the opportunity to exchange thoughts about Romania and other things in the world with Tiberiu. I enjoyed the lunch from locally-sourced ingredients on this tour. Very filling and delicious. Although the portion was big for me and I regret not being able to finish. I'm thankful that during the drive, Tiberiu made a few stops/rolled down the car window for me to take pictures more easily, including the Bran Castle which I didn't visit. I hope this tour continues to be discovered by travelers. I think mountains are among the essences of Transylvania. More than looking at the Carpathians from Brasov, experience them through this easy yet fulfilling opportunity.

Our guide, Simona, was incredibly knowledgeable and full of passion and interesting facts. We were also very lucky to see A LOT of bears in their interactions with each other and Simona was explaining everything on a documentary level. It was an incredible experience for all of us in the group.

One of the most amazing food tours we have ever been on. It was a balance of amazing food and a great overview of Bucharest history. It is hard fully appreciate the food without an understanding of the historical elements that have shaped the cultural and culinary map.

Great tour! The guide was eager to accomodate to our needs, offering a great experience in Brasov and giving insights to the ins and outs of life in the city -and the country. Great homemade meal and the conversation flowed perfectly. It felt like being with friends. Would totally recommend. If (should I say "when") we go back to Romania we'll book another experience with "Romanian friend".

We loved the tour. Robert was an amazing guide with so much historical knowledge to help us understand where we were and how the various foods came to be. We loved the places he chose and the informative walk through the city. We highly recommend this tour to get an introduction to Cluj and its amazing foods.
