This tour was so lovely!! It felt like it combined a walk and talk about Sibiu with a delicious assortment of tasty treats! Adela was amazing and knew so much about the city without ever feeling like she was lecturing us or leaving no room for questions. She took is to many of the well known places, as well as places that were off the beaten path so it felt really easy to navigate the city when we were done. Definitely add this tour if you are heading to Sibiu!

Romanian Friend was very user friendly as it is easy to navigate and book all their available tours. The articles were incredibly helpful and the descriptions of the tour was spot on! Mihai was our guide for this tour and he was highly knowledgeable about the hike and the area and was happy to share his knowledge when we asked and let us enjoy the beauty of our surroundings when we needed it. This tour was breathtakingly beautiful and I would definitely do this one again! Highly recommend this tour and booking with Romanian Friend!!

The hiking and wildlife weekend we booked with Romanian Friend was one of the best experiences we have had. We were incredibly lucky to have Tudor as our mountain guide, he was so knowledgeable about nature and where we were spending our time and was the best host we could have had. We had great meals, great hikes and some great opportunities to spot and hear the wildlife around the cabin. It has now become one of my favourite places I have visited.

Absolutely fantastic tour! I did a day trip from Timișoara to Retezat National Park for hiking, and it exceeded all my expectations. My guide was incredibly knowledgeable and kept sharing interesting facts and stories throughout the tour. The trails in Retezat are stunning, but honestly, I don’t think I could have navigated them safely or gotten as much out of the experience on my own. Finding this tour was such a lucky find for my solo trip. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to explore Retezat without the stress of planning it solo.

This tour is absolutely fantastic. Alex, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the area, and made the experience fascinating. He came prepared to entertain us through real data and stories passed down. We had 2 women over 60 and 1 who was pregnant with 2 men, and he accommodated us with driving as far up the hill as possible to assure our safety and supplied walking sticks and handheld lights when it became dark. After returning home and going through my pictures, I did have one that looked like a man with a helmet on…see attached. It probably is a tree but you never know..lol I can’t say enough on how great Alex and the whole Hoia Bachu tour was
