Moments to expect

Admire Bucura Lake

After our long drive to enter Retezat National Park, we start our hike towards Bucura Lake situated at 2,040m altitude. This is the largest glacial lake in Romania and its untouched, cool waters are soothing - on the backdrop of spectacular views.
[a 1,5h and 2,5 km hike, 430m altitude difference]

Summit Peleaga Peak

Next we aim for the highest peak in Retezat Mountains, Peleaga at 2,509m. This is the 7th highest in Romania and from the top we'll see incredible views of the entire area. With no people or signs of civilisation in sight, this is the best place to feel like you're the king of the world - before we return to the city :)

[Tour extension] Let's camp overnight and hike more

There's so much more to do in Retezat National Park (the Lakes Circuit, wildlife spotting) - but due to its size and wilderness the only way to do this is to camp overnight in the park. This will be a great adventure for those who want to disconnect or love being in the great outdoors. I'll bring the camping gear - you bring your excitement and adventurous spirit!
