The hike in the Carpathian Mountains wasn’t just scenically stunning; we were particularly impressed by our interactions with the local people, the simple way of life there and how they cope with their circumstances. Our tour guide, Vlad, was a real blessing for us – not only does he represent his country superbly, but as a professional photographer he also captures it beautifully in his brilliant photos.
