The trip was amazing. Marian was very fun to be with. He explained a lot and was flexible with our needs. I would definitely use him again. We hiked 15 km, had a nice lunch and sat with Marian for a while to relax. A fun day!

The tour with Vlad was an extraordinary experience that will stay with us for a long time. The hike in the Carpathian Mountains wasn’t just scenically stunning; we were particularly impressed by our interactions with the local people, the simple way of life there and how they cope with their circumstances. Our tour guide, Vlad, was a real blessing for us – not only does he represent his country superbly, but as a professional photographer he also captures it beautifully in his brilliant photos.

The tour was fantastic. We booked on line and were advised within 24 hours as to who would be our contact and guide for the tour. We did a two day tour which covered a lot of ground. We could never have organized so many site visits on our own. The guides were knowledgeable and enjoyable to be with. We spent a day at an inn in the countryside which included dinner (with wine) and breakfast. I highly recommend using this service.

Genuinely had the BEST DAY EVER on the Piatra Craiului hiking tour with Romanian Friend. I would give this 10 stars if I could! This activity was PERFECT, I was looking to get out and explore some of the Romanian mountains in a safe way, and this service delivered. I got to hike through beautiful pine and beech forests, scale some of the parks magnificent limestone peaks, and see some of surely the BEST views in Romania! Going with my private guide made made everything easy and safe. I got picked up and dropped off at my accommodation, which was super convenient. My guide also provided hiking poles, which was lucky for me as my luggage allowance didn't allow for extra hiking equipment. Pre-departure, communication from both the company and the guide was great - I was messaged soon after making my booking with prompt responses, enabling me to prepare for the day. The one unknown was the route - I didn't have a sense of where we were going, but don't stress there's a reason - your guides pick the route most appropriate for you once they know you a bit better. My route was perfect for my experience and fitness level, expertly chosen by my guide, where I felt challenged yet had heaps of fun (which is what hiking is supposed to be about). I'm sure all guides are amazing, but I was lucky enough to be guided by Bogdan who I think is the BEST GUIDE EVER!!! Bogdan is a total mountain man - he does every outdoor sport you can think of PLUS he has a military and martial art background so there is no one you could feel safer with. Bogdan oozes passion for the outdoors, and shared with me stories about his adventures and information about the area across our time together, as well as sharing his interesting perspectives on Romania more broadly (plenty of time for chats when you're together for 9 hours). Bogdan was professional, highly experienced, and totally hilarious - he spent a good portion of our 9 hours together cracking jokes to keep my spirits up, and even taught me some games and provided tips to improve my technique. He was entertaining, supportive and the best company to be hiking with, I feel very grateful to have had such a wonderful guide. Like any sane person I was slightly worried about bears, but Bogdan was 100% prepared and knew what to do, had all the equipment we needed just in case and was constantly scoping the area for bear-and-weather related threats, and made me feel totally at ease that I was in good hands. If you are even slightly interested in hiking in Romania, BOOK THIS EXPERIENCE. It is a safe, convenient way to get into nature and experience a different side of Romania, and you'll have so much fun with great people. The challenge of the hike, the stunning nature and the company made this day so special and my favorite thing I did on my trip. I recommend this tour a million times over - THANK YOU to Romanian Friend, Marian from Brasov and Bogdan in particular for looking after me and providing me with this opportunity, this was without a doubt one of the coolest things I have ever done travelling.
