Reviews about Romanian Adventures & Wildlife Tours
Excellent trip and would highly recommend. Good communication from the outset giving me confidence that the trip was going ahead. Guide was so friendly and helpful making the trip very pleasurable. When we arrived at the hide Simona made sure we were all comfortable and gave us information about the wildlife - pointing out when a badger made an appearance ! It was magical - we saw a bear, fox and badger and birds were also plentiful. The time in the hide was enough for us to see what we came to see and I learned so much from Simona about the wildlife in Romania. I would have loved to have done another trip with her !
Easy to book and great experience.
We loved our hike of Turda Gorge with Radu. He is an excellent guide and made us feel comfortable every step of the way. Hiking up the mountainside and through the gorge was wonderful. We also enjoyed our visit at Salina Turda following the hike. I would highly recommend this tour and our guide Radu!
I'm almost done with my two-week Romania trip and I must say this tour is one of my top three favorite memories here. The tour included a visit to the bat cave, where I was lucky to see some bats. Then it was a not-too-difficult 5-kilometer hike in Magura and Pestera Villages. I was amazed by the stunning scenery despite the cloudy sky and snow at times and how local people persevere in the face of challenges from mountain life. I wouldn't have known the stories behind them without going with a guide. My guide, Tiberiu, shared a lot of stories about the local people's way of life and when I asked him about the details I noticed along the way, he was able to answer them all. In fact, I had an enlightening time learning from his wealth of knowledge and life experience beyond what I saw in Magura and Pestera. I really appreciated the opportunity to exchange thoughts about Romania and other things in the world with Tiberiu. I enjoyed the lunch from locally-sourced ingredients on this tour. Very filling and delicious. Although the portion was big for me and I regret not being able to finish. I'm thankful that during the drive, Tiberiu made a few stops/rolled down the car window for me to take pictures more easily, including the Bran Castle which I didn't visit. I hope this tour continues to be discovered by travelers. I think mountains are among the essences of Transylvania. More than looking at the Carpathians from Brasov, experience them through this easy yet fulfilling opportunity.
