Bike through Medieval Transylvania Settlements

What you need to know

• This is an all-inclusive tour in Sighisoara and around fortified villages in Lower Transylvania for small groups. Minimum persons required to run the tour is 2.
• All-inclusive trip: 3 days of guided bike tours, 2 nights of accommodation, bike & helmet, all meals (locally sourced and regional delicacies), snacks, on-bike nutrition, picnics and water; following assistance car
• Recommended for people with an average level of biking experience who enjoy natural and discovery tours on bike
• We will discover the Saxon legacy of Transylvania, visit medieval sights ad learn about the culture and traditions of the area
• You'll be staying in carefully selected traditional guesthouses with organic food, high comfort and relaxing views
• On our trip, you will sample the finest local delicacies from the region from the innovative to traditional dishes.
• We will bike around 100 km in 3 days in Sighisoara and surrounding Saxon villages

Additional information

We wil stay in the heart of Sighisoara and in the remote village of Cund at a beautifully restored B&B.
Included:
- detailed trip description, literature, programme and maps, GPS maps (on request)
- the knowledge, support, and camaraderie of experienced guides
- all luggage transfers and transportation during the trip
- vehicle assistance during the day
- Cannondale, Trek or GT cross country bicycles to use
- Garmin Touring Plus GPS cycling computer if needed
- bike helmets and other gear and equipment to make your ride comfortable
- entrance fees for group events/activities and several cultural and historical sights local taxes

Not included:
- tranport to/from starting point (Sighisoara) and any additional meals or drinks
- tips for your cycling guide (we recomend 8-10% trip price) or at restaurants (5-10% of the bill)
- extra individual charges for laundry telephone or fax charges, room service, etc.
- travel insurance
- additional local guides, if required
- optional activities not scheduled

Please note that a specific cancellation policy applies to this trip and we require a 30% advance payment:
- 5 weeks prior to the start of the tour, you receive the refund of the trip price, less a 25 EUR/pers administrative fee.
- 4 weeks prior to the tour start: You receive 50% refund of the trip price.
- 3 weeks prior to the tour start: You receive 33% refund of the trip price
- less than 2 weeks prior to the tour start: No refund.
Please note that the minimum no of participants for this trip is 2 persons.
